Building on the Surrealist approach to drawing known as cadavre exquis, or exquisite corpse, Miriam Innes works with four schools from across the region to create an evolving assemblage of creatures composed of different parts as imagined by different children. The free-standing figures – of a scale that tower above the heads of most of their makers – will change from week to week as pieces are swapped out and the identities of the critters transmute.
